The brief was to create more than just a showroom; it needed to feel like an extension of the Maker&Son lifestyle — rooted in comfort, craftsmanship, and connection.
In 2024 I transformed a barn conversion in the picturesque West Sussex countryside into Maker&Son's retail showroom — a space designed to embody the brand’s timeless values while thoughtfully aligning with the future of interior design and retail.
Project Summary
The barn, full of potential but in need of some love and care, became the perfect setting to bring the brand’s founding principles of love, family, craftsmanship and comfort to life. These values informed every creative decision — from layout and lighting to materials and styling — ensuring the space felt both elevated and deeply personal.
